Your history lives on your devices. When you use paired devices, settings and watch history sync through Apple’s and Google’s own services, not a Calmaria account.
You can delete it. Delete your history from inside the app, and manage platform backups through your device or provider.
No ads, no analytics. Calmaria contains no advertising or analytics integration that sends your session history to us.
Who we are and how to contact us
Calmaria is provided by Steale LLC. This policy explains the Calmaria apps, including phone, watch, and widget features. For privacy questions or requests, email hello@abduzeedo.com. No account is needed. We do not operate a server that receives your breathing history, and we do not sell it or use it for advertising.
Information used by the app
Your devices store completed exercise names, dates, repetitions, selected moods, random session identifiers, and settings such as sound, vibration, theme, and custom breathing presets. This supports history, statistics, preferences, and synchronization. A mood is optional. The app does not measure heart rate, record your breathing or voice, or request access to location, contacts, microphone, camera, or Health Connect. Motion sensors are used locally for artwork movement and controls; their readings are not saved in your exercise history or sent to us.
Phone and watch synchronization
When you use the companion apps on paired devices, settings and watch session history, including selected moods, can be transferred between them. On Android and Wear OS this uses Google Play services Wearable Data Layer. Data may travel directly over Bluetooth or through Google-operated servers when a direct connection is unavailable. Google documents that its cloud relay is end-to-end encrypted. This is not a Calmaria account or a Calmaria-hosted history database. On Apple devices, companion synchronization uses Apple WatchConnectivity. Platform services are subject to their providers’ privacy terms, including https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.
Widgets and device access
A home-screen widget can display your latest exercise name, completion time, and session count. Anyone able to view your home screen may see that information. Remove the widget if you prefer not to display it. Your device screen lock and operating-system protections help control local access; no app can guarantee absolute security.
Retention and deleting history
In the updated Android and Wear OS apps, choose Delete history on both devices in Statistics or Settings, review the confirmation, and confirm. This removes session records, saved moods, pending completion records, and history recovery copies on the device where you confirm, and sends a persistent deletion request to the paired app. Obsolete synchronized session items are also removed when accessible. An offline device applies the deletion when it reconnects and receives the request. Reconnect both devices before starting another exercise: sessions recorded on an offline device before it receives the deletion may also be removed. Your theme, sound, vibration settings, and custom presets remain. Clearing app storage or uninstalling on only one device is not a request to erase its paired device.
Preventing deleted history from returning
The apps retain a small deletion marker and tag new sessions with a deletion generation. The marker has no exercise details or moods and is used only to reject older history and stale mood updates. It remains locally and in the platform synchronization service while needed to preserve deletion. Update both companion apps to use this deletion feature. Older versions and other platforms may not provide it; use their device storage controls to remove local data and check every paired device.
Backups and older versions
The Android and Wear OS release accompanying this policy disables app-data backup and excludes app data from Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer. Older releases and Apple devices may have app data in operating-system backups according to device settings. A deletion in Calmaria does not erase backups already held by a platform provider, exported copies, or another device that has not received the request. Manage those copies through the provider or device backup controls. We cannot access or erase backups held in your personal platform account.
Service providers and support
Google and Apple provide app distribution, operating-system, pairing, and optional platform services. Their handling of platform service information is governed by their own terms. Calmaria contains no advertising or analytics integration that sends your session history to us. If you email support, we receive your email address and whatever you send. Do not include medical or other sensitive details unless necessary. We use correspondence to respond and resolve requests, retain it only as needed for that purpose or legal obligations, and do not add you to a marketing list just because you ask for help.
Your choices and privacy rights
You can choose whether to record a mood, change app settings, remove widgets, use the history deletion controls, and manage platform backups. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, obtain a copy of, restrict, or object to processing of personal information and to complain to a data protection authority. Contact hello@abduzeedo.com for help. We cannot retrieve device-only history from our servers because we do not hold it. We will explain what can be managed on your devices and address information we actually hold, such as support correspondence. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Children and wellness
Calmaria does not require an account and does not ask children to submit personal information to us. A parent or guardian can manage device data and contact us about information sent to support. This policy does not replace parental supervision or medical advice. Calmaria is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Consult a healthcare professional for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Breathe comfortably and stop if you feel dizzy, short of breath, or unwell. Do not use breathing exercises while driving, swimming, or operating machinery.
Websites and policy changes
This policy describes the apps. Opening a website or emailing support involves the browser, email, hosting, or platform provider and may expose information such as an IP address or email address to those services. We will update this policy and its date when practices change. The apps include an offline copy for their release; an older installed version may show an older copy. The current published policy is at https://calmaria.app/privacy.html. A policy update is not blanket consent to unrelated new uses of your information.
